The notebook on the bus

Lily and Max are riding the school bus home. Tucked under a seat in the back is a small, red notebook. Lily picks it up and opens the first page.

There's a name she doesn't know. An address. A phone number. Then the pages get personal — diary stuff, secrets, a photo taped in.

"Whose is this?" Max whispers. "And... are we even allowed to read it?"

Lily snaps the notebook shut. It suddenly feels like she walked into a stranger's bedroom without knocking.

The internet is exactly the same. Behind every little piece of information is a real person. And that person gets to choose who finds out what.
