The silent group chat
Maya opens her phone in the morning and something feels off. The class group chat is suddenly quiet. No memes, no "Did you do the homework?", nothing.
Then she sees it. There's a second chat. Everyone from her class is in it — except her.
A friend secretly sends her a screenshot. In that other chat, a few classmates are writing mean stuff about Maya. Nicknames. A photo someone snapped in PE. Rows of laughing emojis.
Maya's stomach tightens. "What did I do to them?" she thinks. She wants to throw her phone across the room and read every single message at the same time.
That's what cyberbullying feels like. It happens on a screen — but it hurts in your whole body.
In this module you'll learn how to spot cyberbullying, what to do if it happens to you, and how to show up for other kids when it happens to them.
